Get A Green Thumb - Webinar on Vegetable gardening



"How I envy those who can grow any vegetable successfully." " Browsing on Google or watching YouTube videos to know the 'know how's' consumes a lot of time." "The failures always disheartened me and I didn't feel like giving it another try." "Wish I had a green thumb" These might be the thoughts of the ones who would love to start growing food or the ones who failed to grow it successfully. 

Keeping all these thoughts and wishes in mind 'Fruits of  Hardwork' has come up with a webinar, exclusively for beginners and the ones who couldn't grow vegetables successfully. 

All that you need is a space to grow food (balcony/terrace/a patch of land) and a good internet connection.

We'll be focusing on specific vegetables which are suitable for this season. Trust me, you will learn to grow with ease and in detail in just one hour.

  Learn the step by step process in detail
The webinar will teach you about each vegetable in detail with pictorial depictions. It will include the process on how to prepare the soil and potting mixes, select containers in case of balcony and terrace gardening, sow seeds and transplant seedlings, manuring and harvesting. We'll also include preventive measure to avoid pests and diseases, it's care and maintenance. 

  Insights from an Expert

Miss. Liza Pinheiro, an agriculturist; will facilitate the session. She completed her B.Sc. degree in Agriculture at Don Bosco College of Agriculture, Sulcorna-Go. Currently, she's a Kitchen Gardening Consultant and helps her clients to set up an organic kitchen garden on balconies, terraces and small patches in Vasco-da-Gama. She is a member of Agricos Alumni Association associated with the Botanical Society of Goa. She has also conducted various agricultural trainings for schools, colleges, farmers and other enthusiasts.

   About Fruits of Hardwork

It's a page on Instagram and Facebook created with an aim to help people; mostly the youth,
to know about the food which can be grown in the Goan environment and to identify the plant health problems and take protective organic measures accordingly. Daily tips on kitchen gardening are being shared on it. You'll know it, when you'll go through it. ;D

The webinar will conducted through Google Meet app on Sunday, 6th December 2020, for one hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The last 15 minutes will include a live Q&A session.
